What the scanner does

Identify the card, show its current value, and link to real listings. No nonsense.

Camera identification

Point your phone at a card and TCG Companion identifies the exact card, set, number, variant and artist.

Market price on the spot

Once the scan lands, you see the current ungraded market price and every tracked graded tier.

Graded tiers

PSA 10, 9.5, 9, 8, 7, plus BGS 10, CGC 10 and SGC 10 appear for every scanned card.

Live eBay listings

One tap takes you to live eBay listings for the card - filter by sold, graded, or specific grade inside the app.

Add to collection

Save scanned cards to your collection and TCG Companion tracks the total value automatically.

Variants & quantities

Every scan lets you pick the variant (standard, reverse holo, holo, 1st edition, promo) and log multiple copies - so duplicates and variants stay separate in your collection.

Japanese cards

Japanese Pokémon cards are supported in-app with their own price lookups.

Camera in, value out

A card scanner should turn the card you’re holding into a price you can trust, fast. Aim your phone at a Pokémon card and TCG Companion recognises the set, number and variant, then shows its current market value and every graded tier. There’s no name to type and no list to scroll, which is the whole point when you have a stack of cards to get through.

Because the scan reads the precise variant, the price fits the actual card: a reverse holo and its standard sibling can be priced very differently. If you’d rather look a card up by hand, the card value checker and the set lists cover that too.

From single cards to a whole collection

Each card you save joins your collection tracker, which keeps a running total of everything you own. Graded values sit alongside raw ones for every card, so it’s easy to spot the cards worth grading - or worth selling as they are.

Frequently asked questions

Does the scanner work in low light?

Good lighting gives the most reliable results. The app outlines the card and prompts you to adjust if the angle or lighting is off.

Can it scan sleeved or top-loaded cards?

Yes - most sleeves and toploaders don't interfere. Very reflective sleeves may need a small tilt to reduce glare.

Is there an Android version?

TCG Companion is currently iOS-only. Meanwhile you can browse set lists and cards on this website.

Does it scan Japanese cards?

Yes. Japanese Pokémon cards are supported inside the app.
