Most collection apps make you type in every card by hand - the set, the number, the variant. TCG Companion skips all of that. You scan a card with your phone camera, confirm the variant and quantity, and it lands in your collection already priced. Do that a few times and you have a searchable digital inventory of everything you own, backed by a database of 27k+ cards across 178 English sets.
Because every card is matched against that database, your collection stays clean and consistent. No duplicate entries with slightly different spellings, no guessing which print you have. When you go to add a card you already own, you can see your current count first - so spotting duplicates before a trade or a purchase is effortless.
Your collection value, updated with the market
The number most collectors actually care about is the total. TCG Companion keeps a running collection value and updates it as prices move, so you always know roughly what your cards are worth. Every card carries both raw and graded figures - PSA, BGS, CGC and SGC tiers - and those numbers come from real listings, not a static price guide. If you want to check a single card in more detail, the value checker and price checker break down each grade, and our guide to what makes a Pokémon card worth money explains the drivers behind those prices.
Variants, quantities, and a clean export
Serious collectors know a card isn’t just a card. A reverse holo, a 1st edition and a promo of the same Pokémon are three different things with three different values, so TCG Companion tracks each variant separately with its own quantity. When you want your data outside the app - for a backup, an insurance record, or your own spreadsheet - a one-tap CSV export hands you the whole collection. For more on keeping things tidy, see our guide on how to organize Pokémon cards, and when you’re ready to move some on, how to sell Pokémon cards walks through the options.
Frequently asked questions
How does the collection value stay up to date?
Card prices are pulled from real eBay listings, so your running collection total reflects the current market rather than a fixed guidebook figure.
Can I track different variants of the same card?
Yes. Standard, reverse holo, holo, 1st edition and promo copies are tracked separately, each with its own quantity.
Can I export my collection?
Yes - you can export your entire collection to CSV at any time for a backup or a spreadsheet.
Is there an Android version?
TCG Companion is currently iOS-only. In the meantime you can browse set lists and cards on this website.
How many cards can I add?
There's no practical limit - the index covers 27k+ cards across 178 English sets, plus Japanese cards in-app.
